Mål og innhald
The Master´s programme of oral sciences is offered by Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry in collaboration with Centre for International Health, University of Bergen (UiB) and is a postgraduate researcher training programme at an international level. It includes main disciplines in oral research, such as epidemiology, oral biology and dental public health, and gives an introduction to international health (major global health problems, culture and health). The programme aims at enabling the master´s candidate to initiate, implement and evaluate research projects related to oral health and diseases.
Fagleg profil
The Master´s programme offers a variety of research possibilities within which you can realise a research project. You will be part of one of these research groups:
- Dental biomaterials
- Craniofacial function and development
- Behaviour and community dentistry
- Cancer biology
- Oral inflammation and infection

Opptakskrav
A first degree (Bachelor´s degree) of three or four years´ duration from an approved institution of higher education, as well as proficiency in the English language.

Master´s Programme in Oral Sciences is open to applicants with a quota scholarship. Study places are thus financed by the Quota programme and priority is given to students who are admitted to our specially designed, research-based degree programmes taught in English. Priority is given to candidates from our collaboration institutions.

The master´s programme leads to the degree Master of Philosophy in Oral Sciences. It is a two-year programme (120 ECTS credits).
