The 3 year Bachelor programme in dental hygiene leads to authorisation to practice as a dental hygienist.
Application procedyre
All applicants for the dental study at the University of Bergen must fulfil certain requirements before their applications are taken into consideration, among these requirements there is a demand for proficiency in Norwegian. Hence the only available information on the study is in Norwegian.
Look at the website of the Universities and Colleges Admission Service (Samordna Opptak) for information on how to apply and about Norwegian and English language requirements. All the programs that go through Samordna Opptak require that the applicant have a permanent/renewable residence permit in Norway. http://www.samordnaopptak.no/info/english/
You have to document excellent skills in physics, chemistry and mathematics.
These special requirements come in addition to the general entrance requirements to the University.
Deadline for application is 1 March every year.
Any transfer of courses to our program will only be taken into consideration if a student has been admitted to our programme. Still, due to the lack of available student places, these applicants may have to follow the same class ("freshmen-class") even if they can document studies within the field of dentistry from another institution.
