PhD MOFA
Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry
At the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry the requirement of training in "vitenskapsteori" theory of science and ethics is not yet fully implemented. Candidates are required to take MEDMET1, a basic course in medical and health related research organized by the Faculty. The course grants 8 credits and has a minor component in theory of science and ethics taught by the Centre for the Study of the Sciences and the Humanities, SVT. All questions regarding MEDMET1 should be addressed to the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry.
The Centre for the Study of the Sciences and the Humanities sporadically organizes research seminars and courses in philosophy of medicine/biomedicine, ethics and related topics. Please contact Judith Larsen: judith.larsen@svt.uib.no if you wish to be included on our mailing lists.
