This book is a result of a series of seminars from the seminar series Science and Philosophy, that were going on at the University of Bergen, Norway from 1990 to 1997. These seminars have interdisciplinary themes ranging from philosophy and history of science to research ethics. Nineteen of Bergen's leading researchers and academics have particpated in this collaboration.
