Education Committee

The University’s Education Committee is appointed by the University Board to develop the University in Bergen as an educational institution.

The committee acts as an advisory body to the University Board on issues concerning educational strategy and actively coordinates the institution’s work on strategic development. The committee shall, among other things, propose future strategic investments for the university’s overall education programmes on the basis of the faculty’s education reports.

The committee, which is chaired by the Vice-rector for Education, consists of the faculties’ vice deans for academic affairs and three student representatives.  The Director of Student Affairs, who is secretary for the committee, prepares and makes recommendations, after consultation with the Vice-rector for Education, on matters submitted to the committee for consideration.
