Section for Education Development and Evaluation
The Section for Education Development and Evaluation is a central study administration unit in the Division of Student Affairs.
The section aims to contribute to the various university departments’ fulfilment of the measures set out in the strategic plan insofar as these applying to the individual study programmes.
The unit has administrative responsibility for UiB’s system for quality assurance of the study programmes.
The section will coordinate and implement the university’s Programme for evaluation and quality development.
One of the section’s goals is to contribute to improving the quality of the services that are offered to students, and the ‘Student Barometer’ satisfaction survey is carried out as part of this effort.
The section also has the function of secretariat for the University’s Education Committee, the Committee for First-Semester Students, the Learning Environment Committee and the Programme Coordinators’ Forum. In addition, the section participates in national and international work groups, through the UHR and COIMBRA networks, among others. The section is also responsible for the university’s work relating to the Bologna Process.
The Division of Academic Affair’s support functions for staff and financial issues belong to this section.

Educational Attainments
As a part of the work related to quality assurance and quality of studies the university presents a report on educational attainments every year.

An annual education report is produced as a step in the quality assurance of the education offered by the university.
