Our Special Collections - a Treasure
The library contains unique collections of valuable materials, a.o. historical photographs from all over Norway, with a special emphasis on Bergen and Western Norway. We also have hand-written manuscripts dating back to the 13th century, as well as antiquarian books, maps and newspapers.

An increasing proportion of these unique collections are being digitized and made accessible on the Internet. You can order copies of photographs from the library's picture collection.
