APA 6th in EndNote X4

EndNote X4 is delivered with several APA-styles. The most commonly used is called  ”APA 6th”. This style appears to have some faults, for examle lack of italicized text for titles in some reference types, and excessive full stops.

The university library has corrected the faults that were detected in some of the most commonly used reference types in APA 6^th. The corrected style has been given the name “APA 6^th- UB”. In addition to the mentioned corrections, the possibility of including a URL in the reference type Legal Rule or Regulation, has been added to APA 6th-UB. This has been done to accomodate the common norwegian practice of using and refering to lovdata.no The style of APA 6^th does not include URL information in references to legal material.

APA 6th-UB is added as a style option in EndNote X4 on university owned PC´s on campus. If one wishes to use this style on private PC´s or Mac´s, follow the instructions given on  https://it.uib.no/en/Endnote?kerberos_ithelp_done=1 under the heading Add connections, filters and styles in EndNote. The file containing APA 6^th-UB is called: Endnote_connections_filters_styles_UB.exe.
