The pilot study

• The pilot study is part of a larger investigation of teenage slang, which will be carried out in the Nordic countries.
• The pilot study in Denmark was carried out in Næstved in February 1997 by Tore Kristiansen. The questionaires were handed out in 1 class in in their 11th school year (aged 17-19), with a total of 22 pupils.

The main slang study

• The main slang study in Denmark was carried out during 1998.
• The material consists of 446 questionnaires, filled in by pupils in two different areas of the cities Copenhagen, Odense and Århus. The iformation has been entered into a database using the program dbase and is being analysed.
