Hovedinnhold

More than 10 years have passed since Learning Analytics emerged as a field where student data is used to enhance learning and support learning environments. With the recent pandemic resulting in higher education institutions moving much of their teaching and learning online, large amount of educational data has been produced. Experts presume that with these large amounts of data, Learning Analytics will be more powerful, and will be able to provide precise and data-driven algorithms to support learning. Are these presumptions valid? How can this data best be used to support learning? What are the ethical and privacy issues around the use of this data? Is dataification of education a good idea?
