Hovedinnhold

The giant sunfish is a tropical fish species that is generally found in warm waters. The largest popularions are found off Africa and Australia. Geir Totland explained that the fish was definitely off course. Ingvar Byrkjedal from Bergen Museum added that it had probably been following the Gulf Stream. Totland also said that sunfish have developed a very energy saving swimming style.
Totland and Byrkjedal were interviewed in NRK and Harald Kryvi in Bergens Tidende
