Invitation:
We have the pleasure of inviting you to the 14th CCBIO Symposium, May 12-13, 2026, at Solstrand Hotel.
Registration: not yet available, will be opened in January, so until then, save the date!
With so many participants in a very international mix, this is a great opportunity for international networking within the field of cancer research. The beautiful surroundings at the historical hotel Solstrand provide an ideal frame for the symposium with the serene fjord views, fresh air, great food, and spacious areas, with a little touch of Norwegian history.
The symposium will be a combination of talks by invited international speakers and other senior researchers, extended poster sessions, and a speed presentation session where younger researchers can present their work, and ample time for interaction between the participants.
Confirmed speakers include: William A. Haseltine, Ronny Drapkin, Gema Moreno-Bueno, Janne Lehtiö, Lena Claesson-Welsh, Bart Neyns, Keith Hunter, Christian Kersten, Karl-Henning Kalland, Ellen-Marie Forsberg, Antonio Curti, and Francis Jacob.
See the preliminary program here.
Poster or speedtalk presentation
If you wish to present a poster or do a speed presentation for younger researchers, note that the selection is done based on the submitted abstracts. Please have the following information at hand before registration:
- Work title
- Authors
- Whether you will present alone or with one of the co-authors
- If a poster: size of the poster
- Indicate whether you wish to do a speedtalk or a poster, or both, or if a poster is possible if speedtalk is not accepted.
Note that a one-page poster/speedtalk abstract in Word format needs to be submitted to Eli.Vidhammer@uib.no by April 13th for consideration.
Opportunities for industry participation
Since 2025, we have had an increasing focus on innovation and academic-industry interactions, by including two targeted sessions. One session focuses on early phases of innovation and startup companies, with examples. The second session includes presenters from more established companies (big pharma’), where industry partners might present their activities and the opportunities their companies offer. Also, we allow industry participants to take part in our extended poster sessions with similarly sized stands among the academic exhibitors.
