Mål og innhald
This is a project based module with a focus on specific artistic methods. In an experimental process a given REALITY is explored.
Presentations and discussions form the discursive part, on the basis of which each student investigates themes, narratives and/or genres, leading up to individual and/or group presentations of the resulting artwork(s).
Goal: Extended focus and insight into contemporary art and its relation to reality.
Through the development of an individual and/or a group project the student will aquire experimental methods and experience of how realities can be represented and narrated.

Utfyllande semesteromtale
Reality & Relation/COMMON GROUND is first part of a large scale exchange project with Makere University in Kampala, Uganda with:
Frans Jacobi, professor in timebased art
Petter Bergerud, professor in Design
Mikkel Wettre, professor in form
The first part is a study trip to The Makerere University of Uganda, College of Engineering, Design, Art and Technology (MAK) for 4 students from Art and 4 students from Design 31.10. ¿ 13.11. The central part will be a workshop in Makere with artist and senior lecturer in sculpture, Lilian Nabulime. This workshop will focus on reuse and recycled local materials in lesser privileged areas of Kampala.
Travel-costs and accommodation are provided by the project Common Ground
Maximum 4 students from art ¿ MA is prioritized.
Collaboration with the Department of Design and funded by NORPART programme DIKU.
