Mål og innhald

IM/MATERIAL KNOWLEDGE is a project-oriented course welding Fashion, Art, Communication, and Expanded Choreography.

IM/MATERIAL KNOWLEDGE question and involve, combine or isolate various languages appearing in variable (material and immaterial) forms and formats of Communication (performative, visual, oral, and/or written).

From concept development, production, to the present(ific)ation of the group project, the artist-students will develop:

1. Toolbox of CO-practices: how to be with? how to work together? how to expand individual knowledge within a collaboration? How to learn with, from and for others?
2. Format and methodology of presentation, performance, circulation, and communication of both immaterial and material knowledge,
3. Trans-, inter-, cross- disciplines approaches with a particular attention to tacit and practical knowledge.
4. develop a set of textual and text-based art practices for the artist students to create visual communication material to support the concept of im/material knowledge.

SHIRTOLOGY.

Based on the concept of a project-oriented course welding Fashion, Art, Communication, and Expanded Choreography, the student-artists will collectively create a collection of T-shirts:

from co-concept development

to co-production of the collection of T-shirts,

to production of a collective statement,

to setting-up, documenting, and dismantling the in-progress Exhibition

as a team.

Starting Week 10 and ending Week 20, this collective project-oriented PRO will have an in-progress exhibition from week 15 to week 20, exposing the collection of T-shirts in the Glass Display Space at Salhus.
