Mål og innhald

This is a project based module with a focus on a specific artistic RESEARCH project. In an experimental process a given RESEARCH issue is explored.

This module is based and organized within the framework of one of the ongoing research projects within the research group Cultural Identity. This might be either one of PhD-projects or one of the research-projects by current members of the artistic staff.

Presentations and discussions form the discursive part, on the basis of which each student investigates issues, content and methods, leading up to individual and/or group presentations of the resulting artwork(s).

Goal:

Extended focus and insight into how cultural background and identities creates discourse and imaginaries within contemporary art; and how research methods and critical reflection can be used as tools to investigate cultural issues.
