In addition to studying courses like Organization and Politics, Methodology, I got to know how to facilitate and develop training systemically using modern techniques and methods.

Can you tell us a bit about your present work? What are your specific work tasks?

I am a lecturer at the Department of Political Science and Sociology, North South University, Bangladesh. I take courses titled ‘Introduction Public Administration’ and ‘Introduction to Public Governance’ at the undergrad level.

How do you use your education at work?

My degree at UiB is directly related to my present job. In addition to studying courses like Organization and Politics, Methodology, I got to know how to facilitate and develop training systemically using modern techniques and methods. Also, research is a vital part of the teaching profession, and my research basics and skills were developed with the assistance of some wonderful teachers while I was pursuing the MPA degree from the UiB.

What made you decide to study administration and organization theory at UiB?

This is a research-intensive program – this feature strikes me most. Two years long program provides ample opportunities and scope for the development.

What do you think of as the best part of your study period at UiB?

Students from different countries are taking part in the MPA program, which gave me a wonderful chance to know other countries, different people, their lifestyle which helped me a lot to break many misconceptions I used to have before becoming an international student in UiB.

Is there anything more you would like to add?

Bergen is a wonderful city with enriched culture. I have enjoyed the cultural experiences I had in Bergen. I have gained many transferable skills from diverse experience.
