Breaking new ground in public administration research
James Hathaway sheds new light on change within public accountability organizations in Zambia
James Hathaway was a PhD research fellow at the Department of Administration and Organization Theory, with Steinar Askvik and Ishtiaq Jamil as his supervisors.
James’s research sheds new light on organizational change within public accountability organizations in Zambia, using an institutional logics perspective. During the PhD project, James developed a new typology of logics that can be used in public administration research in Zambia and Sub-Saharan Africa. This typology broke new ground and was a central theoretical construct in his PhD dissertation.
The new typology and how it was developed is now presented in a newly published article by James and Steinar Askvik in International Journal of Public Administration.
