UiB Opp 1.3 CV Building

Course content: Academic CVs are a core tool for assessing applications for research funding, jobs and promotions. During this workshop, you will learn how to support researchers to develop and document their professional CV and track record. We will cover two core areas of academic CV coaching:  CV building - supporting researchers to develop tailored track records to compete for opportunities in the medium to long term; and CV writing – working with researchers during the application phase to construct a well-structured, relevant and compelling CV for specific funding opportunities in the immediate to short term.

At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Review academic CVs for a variety of funding instruments and academic opportunities
  • Conduct one to one CV sessions with researchers of all career stages
  • Train groups of researchers in academic CV building and writing

Target group: Advisers and administrative managers across UiB who are interested in learning more about how to support researchers to develop their CVs and track records
