Since September 2015, the University of Bergen’s Brussels Office has worked to strengthen the visibility of the University of Bergen in Brussels. On the daily the Brussels Office works to promote the University’s positions, aid researchers in finding and establishing suitable international connections and collaborators and getting ahead on the complex policies and proposals the EU presents relating to research and innovation. The office also provides a home away from home for employees and students at the University of Bergen.

Given its location, the Brussels Office also acts as an initial point of contact for international organizations and actors that wish to collaborate with the University of Bergen. The office is also a natural jumping off point for actors at the University that wish to access the European political arena.
