2016 - Himalaya Parajuli

Born 1977, holds a Bachelor in Dental Surgery from the Tribhuvan University Kathmandu and further studies in International Health at UiB. As a CCBIO PhD candidate, he was in the Johannessen group. His research project was focused on the expression of integrin α11 in oral cancer.

Himalaya Parajuli got his PhD at the University of Bergen April 29th 2016, with his dissertation “Role of integrin α11 in oral carcinogenesis. In vitro and in vivo studies”. He was a candidate from the Department of Clinical Medicine and CCBIO. Main supervisor: Professor Daniela Elena Costea, Co-supervisors: Anne Christine Johannessen and Professor Donald Gullberg.
