Climate budgeting as a public sector innovation project
CET is happy to announce the upcoming seminar with Tale Halsør and Henrik Løseth Jansen, advisors at the Hordaland County Council, on the 28th of November.
Climate budget is a new tool for the public authorities to structure its work to reduce green house gas emissions. The cities of Oslo and Bergen have established one model and other municipalities and counties are now trying to find their way to create budgets for their emissions. Hordaland County Council has established a model to present and work systematically with climate budgets for the directly controlled emissions, however, how do we handle the data from the other actors in our county, and what about the carbon footprint we leave from our activity? We would like to present some of our work, and reflections on the topic of climate budget, and hope to get some input from the researchers.
