Objectives and Content
The course gives an introduction to fish parasitology, with emphasis on parasite problems in cultured fish. Morphology, lifecycles, pathology and epizootiological aspects are dealt with. Diagnosis, prophylaxis and treatment will be described.
The course has a limited number of places. Students accepted to master¿s programmes at the Department of Biology will be given priority.
Learning Outcomes
The course aims to provide an understanding of parasitic diseases of fish in aquaculture, promote correct diagnoses and appropriate control measures.

Laboratory course, assignments and oral presentation.
Approved mandatory activities are valid for 6 semesters.

Grading Scale
The grading scale used is A to F. Grade A is the highest passing grade in the grading scale, grade F is a fail.
Reading List
The reading list will be available within June 1st for the autumn semester and January 1st for the spring semester.
