It is compulsory to attend the first lecture/orientation meeting, or you risk losing your seat. If you are unable to attend the first lecture, you must contact the Study Section (<email>firstname.lastname@example.org</email>). The time of the first lecture/orientation meeting can be found in the schedule on the course website or on Mitt UiB.
Objectives and Content
A selected reading (papers and book chapters) will be chosen in collaboration with a supervisor for students specializing in the various parts of the study programme "Fisheries biology and management" (population dynamics, fisheries management, population genetics, larval fish ecology, fish behaviour and responsible fishing). The literature will be presented by the students in weekly discussion groups with the supervisor. The reading will be selected to cover the scientific field of interest of the students and will normally vary from semester to semester.
Give the students an opportunity to specialize in an area of relevance for their master- or dr. thesis.
Recommended Previous Knowledge
The grading scale used is A to F. Grade A is the highest passing grade in the grading scale, grade F is a fail.
