Course content
Before the evaluation the candidate shall send inn
- Written report which includes how far the candidate has come, an overview of the work so far, and a time schedule for the remaining period.
- Project report
- Finished manuscripts, manuscripts in the work
- Courses taken and presentations made.
The evaluation starts with a public presentation by the candidate. After the presentation, the candidate, supervisors and evaluation committee withdraw for a discussion.
For candidates at Department of Clinical Dentistry:
At the Department of Clinical Dentistry the mid-term evaluation is organized by the department¿s research board.
The midway evaluation committee will consist of one academic member of the Research board, and one internal academic member from IKO. Present at the evaluation is the committee and the candidate, and the supervisors are expected to participate as observers.
The candidate will be informed about the forthcoming evaluation 2 months before it takes place so that the candidate has time to prepare for submission of the written material and making the presentation. 2 weeks before the seminar, the candidate has to submit all written documentation in regards of the PhD project.
Based on the report, presentation and discussion the committee makes a report to the PhD board, and follow up the candidate and supervisors accordingly.

Course overlap
Only one midway evaluation code can be included in the PhD candidate¿s training component. The midway evaluation will take place at the department where the candidate¿s main supervisor is positioned.
