Course description

Objectives and Content

The course addresses testing and assessment of second language skills. Central topics are modern forms of language assessment, principles of testing and assessment, and their theoretical underpinnings. The course also discusses ethical aspect of language testing as well as issues related to testing and assessing language skills in multilingual persons.

After successfully completing this course, students will have:

In cases when this situation may arise the students will be informed at the beginning of the semester, and before the deadline regarding semester registration 1.February/1.September.

Compulsory Assignments and Attendance
A short paper of approximately 500 words submitted on the deadline decided by the course administration.
Forms of Assessment
4 hours digital written exam from home.

An approximately 400-pages curriculum decided by the course administration.
Course Evaluation
Evaluation will be conducted in accordance with the University of Bergen's quality assurance system.
