Course description

Objectives and Content

The course starts with an introduction to designing a project protocol, formal conditions related to the design of a scientific protocol, and scientific writing. In addition, the course covers issues concerning the measurement of quality of life and oral epidemiology in relation to indexes of quantification of oral diseases. A general introduction to different biological laboratory methods, interview and survey methods, and ethics in clinical studies is also included. Students will be given different projects in order to train them in protocol design and presentation techniques.

Required Previous Knowledge

Bachelor's degree in dentistry, medicine or related disciplines. Students enroled in a Master's degree programme can take this course.
