Course description

Learning Outcomes

After completing PHYS212 students should be able to:

  • know the terminology and explain key features of the involved modalities, including an understanding of related physical modeling and presentation of results
  • apply the acquired knowledge on basic physics principles to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of the various modalities, i.e. photon therapy versus heavy ion therapy
  • complete a student project as part of the course and communicate findings to fellow students

PHYS231, PHYS112, PHYS231 can be taken parallel with PHYS212
Compulsory Assignments and Attendance
Approved student project is compulsory. Approved projects are valid for 2 years.
Grading Scale
The grading scale used is A to F. Grade A is the highest passing grade in the grading scale, grade F is a fail.
