Objectives and Content
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the semester, students will:
- Develop an in-depth knowledge of several theories of love and human attachment
- Be able to identify key components of love and human attraction
- Apply course material through introspection, self-exploration, and intentional goal setting

Teaching and learning methods
Compulsory Assignments and Attendance
Participation: Seminars and discussion section attendance is compulsory. Students are required to attend at least 80% of the course seminars.
Reflection Papers: Students are required to submit 2 reflection papers from 4 possible paper options. Paper prompts will be posted in Mitt UiB at least one week prior to their due dates, and are to be submitted online via Inspera. Please pay attention to the due dates as late papers will not be accepted.
Forms of Assessment
The course final will consist of two components: a final paper and a Multiple Choice Test. The final course paper will be submitted by the scheduled final exam period and will be required in addition to a 1 hour MC-test.
Students who complete the compulsory assignments and attendance requirements will be allowed to take the course final exams. The final grade in the course will be determined by the student's performance on a multiple choice exam (30% of overall course grade) and a final paper (70% of the overall course grade).
