Head of GJ Jebsen Center for Diabetes Research Paal R. Njolstad
Ten years ago (in 2004) when Therese Bruusgaard Greve became the first diabetic child in the world who could drop a life of daily insulin injections. Researchers from the University of Bergen and the Diabetes Research Group at the Children's Clinic in Bergen was pivotal in the discovery of the genetic defect and the understanding of the mechanisms that enable them to get tablet treatment instead of treatment with injections. Since this genetic research has moved on. The information and lists of publications on this website give insight in the research at the KG Jebsen Center for Diabetes research since the center was opened in 2012.
