Step 1: Nomination
International exchange students must be nominated by their home university before they can apply for an exchange period at UIB. Please contact the exchange coordinator at your home university to find out if you are eligible for exchange to the University of Bergen (UiB).
Please note that we do not accept freemovers.
How you know that you have been nominated
After you have been nominated by your home institution, you will receive two emails from UiB. In these emails you will be given the following information:
- Log in information required to get access to the online application portal (Søknadsweb).
- Relevant information about application procedures and deadline.
You must use the link sent by email in order to get access to Søknadsweb.
- Log in with your registered email-address and password (sent in separate email).
- If you did not receive the email with the password you may order a new password on the login page.
Remember to check your email regularly, including the spam filter.
