Hallvard Fossheim: Aristotle on Collective Agency

Among Aristotle's most well-known and often cited discussions are his treatments of friendship (philia) and political rule. In my presentation, I will argue that friendship and political rule can both be seen as instances of shared agency in Aristotle's analyses, and that such a reading even helps make sense of some of the things he says about them.
