HR International Centre would like to invite you to a seminar about applying for jobs Norway. Partners and UiB employees are welcomed!

The goal is to make you a more informed, credible and successful job-seeker in Norway. You will learn what Norwegian employers expect and place an emphasis on, as well as what the most common mistakes are, and how to avoid them. The instructor will share knowledge about Norwegian culture and job market that is hard to find in other places, and that may take years to figure out on your own. There will be reflection exercises to increase your self-awareness and find your inner motivation. The course will cover the entire job-seeking process and there will be time to answer your questions related to job-seeking in Norway.

The instructor is Karin Ellis (CEO of Ellis Culture) and author of the books “Applying for jobs in Norway”, “Working with Norwegians” and “Flerkulturelle arbeidsplasser”. Karin has 15 years’ experience with developing and conducting intercultural training. Typical feedback from participants of these sessions is that misunderstandings and mistakes made in the past could have been avoided if they had participated earlier.

The seminar is planned as a physical event and will be held at Bjørn Christiansens hus (Christies gate 12) Seminarrom 217-218, from 10.00 to 15.30, with some time afterwards for extra questions. This is the agenda for the day:
