New profile pages making UiB more visible
New profile pages for all UiB employees during October. "I encourage everyone to make use of the new functionalities and possibilities that have been developed," says Director of Communications Ingar Myking.
People searches are among the most frequent searches at uib.no. Improved profile pages therefore contribute to making UiB's core activities more visible.
The profile pages on the university website will be moved to a new platform in October. The address for the page will remain the same as before and all current content will be automatically transferred. But you can already log in to your personal page to start making changes to the content affiliated with your page.
"Employees are the most crucial creators of content and the foundation for making UiB's core activities visible on the university web pages. The new profile pages bring with them the launch of a range of new functionalities. The personal publication overview in CRIStin is displayed directly in profile pages under "Selected publications" and "Publications". You can edit the publications to be published on the profile page and select to not display CRIStin data at all. There will also be launched free keywords to describe your own fields of study, research and work areas. This will make it easier to use the profile pages to promote your activities," says Ingar Myking.
Other advantages associated with the new profile pages include that it will become easier to edit personal information, and that the pages are also adapted for display on mobile platforms and can also be shared on social media.
The new profile pages will launch at uib.no during week 43. From this point onwards the new profile pages will be visible to the world and the old profile pages will no longer be accessible.
