Exploring UiB - a visit to Skeivt arkiv

Uib is a large and diverse organization, and most of us know only a small part of it. This afternoon we have the opportunity to learn a bit about Skeivt arkiv.

Hope you will like to join us for a visit to Skeivt arkiv, which is part of the Department of Special Collections at the University Library in Bergen.

Skeivt arkiv is the national knowledge center for queer history; the story of gender- and sexuality diversity. The archive collects, preserves and communicates material that can tell something about this story. From organizational documents and photographs to video and audio recordings, books, journals, buttons and costumes.

Queer history is a story of oppression, but also of resistance, celebration and fellowship. This visit will give you a few samples from these exciting collections.

Refreshments!
