EpiReg - kvalitets og forskningsregister og biobank for epilepsi
Our project, EpiReg, received a grant of NOK 1.3 mill to establish a register and biobank for patients who have been diagnosed with epilepsy. The aim is to systemize and collect clinical data of patients who have been treated at the neurological department of Haukeland Hospital.

The data will include information about the patients epilepsy, social relations and other illnesses. The epilepsy parameters will include age at debut, type of seizure, type of epilepsy, causes and frequency as well as complications, medical treatment and/or other treatment. The result of the relevant biomarker examinations will also be included. We will emphasize information related to fertility, pregnancy, birth and status epilepticus.
Data received from the patient will be used as part of the project which is researching the life quality and depression of pregnant women. We wish therefore to employ QOLIE89 and EPDS for the patients who visit our polyclinic. The lifetime of the project is expected to be many years.
