Collaboration project has published article in Nature
A team of medical doctors and researchers from Bergen, USA and Mexico has published an article on cervical cancer in the esteemed journal Nature.
The article's title is ”Landscape of genomic alterations in cervical carcinomas”, and is the world's first and most comprehensive mapping of genomic alterations in cervical carcinomas. This is a huge breakthrough in the search for cause and aims for for effective treatment of cervical cancer.
Our department (K1) is involved through our section Gade's Laboratory of Pathology, with Lars Akslen and Olav Vintermyr.
We also congratulate the Department of Clinical Science (K2), with project manager Helga Salvesen, and others.
This shows that collaboration is important, both nationally and internationally!
Also read other pieces on the article, a Helse Bergen-article and UiB-article (both in Norwegian).
