Research Group in Hand, Ankle and Minor Surgery

A characteristics of the group's research is the close relationship to clinical work with injuries and wound treatment.

The research group consists of clinicians from Bergen Casualty (BLV), the Plastic Surgery Department and the Orthopaedic Department at Haukeland University Hospital (HUS). They have been cooperating since 2009 within research on hand and wrist injuries, wound treatment and injury epidemiology.

The group is affiliated to the Department of Clinical Medicine (K1) at the University of Bergen and collaborates closely with the National Centre for Emergency Primary Health Care (Nklm), the Radiology Department at Stavanger University Hospital (SUS), Voss Hospital, the Hand Surgery Centre at Derby Hospitals in England and the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Harvard University, USA.
