Project description

Lars-Kristian Lunde Trellevik's PhD project is researching potential economic viability of newly discovered resources in the deep sea. Lars-Kristian is employing System Dynamics to model, simulate and analyze the complex links, aggregations, delays and feedbackloops between variables involved in deep-sea resources such as Existing Technology, Exploitable Resource Base, Discoverable Resource Base, Innovation, Economic framework, Regulations, Ecological impact/constraints and Multidimensional Risk. The goal of the project is to establish a formal framework for understanding and potentially policy design for emerging deep sea resources.
