The Central Election Committee has approved proposal for rector and pro-rector candidates.

In a meeting 8th of February 2021 The Central Election Committee made the following decision:
The Central Election Committee refers to the University Board’s decision 103/20 to appoint a “Søkekomite”for the election of rector in 2021. “Søkekomiteen” may propose candidates on an independent basis to The Central Election Committee. “Søkekomiteen has proposed the following two candidates:
- Rector candidate Margareth Hagen together with pro-recotor candidate Pinar Heggernes
- Rector candidate Oddrun Samdal together with pro-recotor candidate Nils Gunnar Kvamstø
The Central Election Committee at the University of Bergen approves “Søkekomiteeen’s” proposal for rector and pro-rector candidate.
In addition, Matias Alexander Birkeland, Lilya Budaghyan, Bendicte Carlsen, Synnøve Fluge, Øyvind Frette, Tore Furevik, Leif Ove Larsen, Sigrid Eskeland Schütz and Eirik Vassenden have proposed Margareth Hagen as the rector candidate and Pinar Heggernes as a pro-rector candidate.
