Note: The departments may have different ways of funding research education activities for the PhD candidates. Contact your department for more information.

     

    Guidelines for assigning funding for research activities

    Approved by the  PhD committee 5. February 1997 and amended 11. November 1999. From 2007 they may be used as guidelines for the departments, but the departments may also cover research education activities in other ways.

    • During the doctoral study one can be granted up to kr 15 000,-
    • Nobody can be granted more than one application per round of application.
    • The Faculty does not cover expenses for registration fee at conferences or to field work.
    • Those who apply for the second time and are not going to actively contribute at a meeting/seminar/symposia etc with poster or oral presentation will not get their application granted.
    • Those who apply for the second time and are going to present a poster or give an oral presentation at a meeting/seminar/symposia etc, can be granted the difference between the amount they previously have received and 15.000,-.
    • Those who apply for the second time and are going on a longer research stay, course etc, can be granted the difference between the amount they previously have received and 15.000,-.
    • Those who apply for the third time can get their application granted if there are free funds available.
