ISPH-conference opened by the Ukrainian Health Minister

The Ukraininan Health Minister, Dr. Dr Viktor Liashko, opened the ISPH-conference "Fair Priorities in Unjust Circumstances" in Bergen April 28th.

The conference, that lasted until April 30th, was arranged by Bergen Centre for Ethics and Priority Setting (BCEPS) for International Society for Priorities in Health (ISPH). The 13th International conference took place in Bergen, and all around the world in predefined "hubs". 

In the opening speech, by Dr. Victor Lisashko, the minister said that the war on Ukraine have overshadowed other health challenges in the country:

"The war has put the enire system in survival mode", he says. "Since February 24th, our whole concern is to make sure that this survival mode onfly affects the organising of the services, and not the individual patient". 

The war has directly affected at leat 351 medical facilites and 39 hospitals in the country. See the whole speech above.
