BSRS brings people together from different academic and cultural backgrounds, creating a unique opportunity for students from both the Global South and the North to connect and discuss their research with each other and with international scholars. The BSRS 2017 will take place on June 12-22 2017.

The Bergen Research Summer School 2017 offers six disciplinary courses for PhD-candidates and junior researchers. The courses will focuse on migration, the role of higher education, global health, water management, poverty, and the impact language has on global challenges.

The programme is tied together by a series of common sessions such as keynotes and roundtables, so there will be ample opportunities to engage in critical analyses to seek creative solutions and to participate in open debates.
