- Norway is still in an exceptional situation and many have sacrificed a lot; not least social interaction. But hopefully, we are now looking at brighter times ahead, says UiB Rector Dag Rune Olsen, greeting students and staff on Constitution Day.

The regional anthem of Bergen, "Nystemten", and the Norwegian national anthem are performed by the student choir Arme Riddere. In the video we also see students, corona researchers at the Faculty of Medicine and other employees from all over the University of Bergen taking part in the celebration.

The UiB Rector extends gratitude and appreciation to all students and employees for the patience, flexibility and hard work shown in challenging times, as a result of the coronavirus outbreak.

- I wish you all a happy National Day, says Olsen.
