The international student week is kicking off with the official opening of Fantoft Festival on Monday September 19th at 15:00 at the student village at Fantoft. It is arranged by the Student Welfare Organisation in Bergen (SiB).

– We are mainly doing this to show some extra appreciation for the around 1,000 international students at the University of Bergen, SiB’s Director of Communication Marita Monsen says.

She is proud to be able to present a varied programme, which is packed with events ranging from the traditional Norwegian to a broad range of international arts and entertainment.

There will be activities both for children and adults, SiB and a number of student organisations will have information stands and activities will range from dance performances and open gym to magicians and concerts.

– We want to show the international students how engaged Norwegian students are and also to show them Norwegian culture, Monsen says.

All events are free of charge.
