This knowledge and experience will be very useful in current proceedings at the university,” says Rector Olsen.
UiB in a changing university landscape
“I want to express my gratitude for the trust I have been shown and will do my best to make sure that UiB will succeed in the goals we set for the future,” says Kjell Bernstrøm.
The new university director points to the current changes in the university and higher education sector and that his focus will be UiB’s positioning in a changing landscape.
“This autumn, UiB’s two current focus areas have been through an external evaluation process and the follow-up work on these interdisciplinary areas are particularly important in the time ahead. In 2014, we have also started projects related to more efficient administrative services and I look forward to completing this work,” says Bernstrøm.
