The Department of Information Science and Media Studies will offer three new programmes at bachelor's level and three programmes at master's level.

Starting Autumn 2017, the six new professional study programmes aim to provide students with theoretical and practical competence to master the media landscape of the future. The new study programmes will make the most of the various media and technology environments and industry competences in the media cluster Media City Bergen. The media cluster will provide unique opportunities for student internships and various forms of cooperation between students. industry players and university staff.
If you want to apply for admission to undergraduate degree programmes at the University of Bergen, please apply through the Norwegian Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (NUCAS), in Norwegian called Samordna opptak. The University of Bergen does not offer any Bachelor's degree programmes taught in English. Admission to undergraduate studies requires proficiency in Norwegian.
