Instituttet er sterkt representert i en ny antologi om ny journalistikkforskning.

Professor Martin Eide er blant redaktørene av antologien, og disse tre forskerne bidrar med hvert sitt kapittel: Nina Kvalheim, Helle Sjøvaag og Brita Ytre-Arne. Boken har fått tittelen: New Nordic Journalism Research. Challenges and Perspectives. Den er et resultat av et nordisk nettverk for journalistikkforskning (2009 – 2013). Redaksjonskollegiet består av Sigurd Allern, Henrik Bødker, Martin Eide, Epp Lauk og Ester Pollach. Antologien er et spesialnummer av Nordicom Review.
Nina Kvalheim er stipendiat, Helle Sjøvaag er postdoktor og Brita Ytre-Arne er postdoktor, alle ansatt ved Institutt for informasjons- og medievitenskap.
