Human Transformation of the Terrestrial Biosphere

Erle Ellis is visiting UiB and will give a guest lecture on the Anthropocene.

Erle Ellis will be attending the UNESCO conference hosted by UiB next and he has agreed on giving us an "extra" lecture entitled "Human Transformation of the Terrestrial Biosphere". Professor Ellis will lecture on the Anthropocene.

His maps on the Anthropocene will be published in the National Geographic Atlas this year. This is a lecture for everybody interested in people-nature interactions, anthropogenic systems and GIS, and enjoys a good lecturer.

Ellis is an Associate Professor at Geography & Environmental Systems at the University of Maryland in Baltimore, and currently a visiting Professor of Landscape Architecture, Graduate School of Design at Harvard University.
