I am interested in the systematics and ecology of gelatinous zooplankton, including ctenophores and cnidarians. My previous projects have focused on e.g. diversity, distribution and ecology of gelatinous zooplankton along the Norwegian coast and in the North Atlantic, as well as distribution and ecosystem effects of the invasive ctenophore Mnemiopsis leidyi in Norwegian waters. In April 2015, I started a new project focusing on the diversity and integrated taxonomy of pelagic hydrozoans (hydromedusae and siphonophores) in Norway, as part of the Norwegian Taxonomy Initiative (http://data.artsdatabanken.no/Pages/168312). Recently, we have been extending this work to cover also the benthic hydroids.
