I am part of the advisory team for externally financed projects at the Divison of Research and Innovation, UiB. My main responsibilities are the Norwegian Center of Excellence scheme (SFF) and the European Research Council (ERC).

I coordinated the internal UiB process for RCNs SFF III call (stage 1), for SFF IV in 2015/16 and work in our division´s coordination team for SFF V. I worked as an administrative coordinator at SFF Birkeland Center for Space Sciences where I took part in coordinating the day to day running of the center.

For UiB´s ERC applicants the advisory team spreads information about calls, helps with proposal writing and organises  training events for ERC proposers who are invited to an interview in Brussels. We also offer information documents on ERC interviews and organise regular proposal writing courses, reading days and information seminars.

I act as a local contact point for other programs as well: The Horizon Europe Cluster 4 Digital, Industry and Space and the horizontal action Reforming and Enhancing the European R& I system.

I also work with proposals from other areas like the MSCA program and collaborative projects (Research and Innovation Actions RIA).

I am a board member of the Norwegian association for Research Managers and Administrators (NARMA)

I was part of the NARMA team that planned and organised training courses for Research Administrators until 2020.

I have worked as an evaluator for different European Union programs since 2014.

I was a Management Committee member for two COST actions: TN 1301- Sci Generation to give European scientists better career chances and TD 1408 INTREPID on interdisciplinarity in Research Funding Cycles

In 2011, 2012, 2016 and 2019 I organised the track for research management at UiBs international staff week.

I am the administrative coordinator for UiBs career program for the Trond Mohn Foundation Starting Grants.

I studied Biology at Darmstadt University of Technology and hold a PhD in Biology from the University of Freiburg. I worked as a post doc at the Dept of Biomedicine at UiB. My areas of expertise are cell biology, angiogenesis and tissue engineering. I also supervised (MSc) students and technical personnell.

I am currently enrolled in an MBA program for higher education management (120 credit points) at the University of Oldenburg (Germany) besides my job  to increase my knowledge and understanding of higher education administration.

I studied higher education marketing, conflict management, budgeting and financing, organisational theory and leadership, finance management and investment, higher education law, politics and economy, project management, research management and controlling. I also completed courses on e-learning and strategic management and gained insight in HR with a course in Diversity Management. My master thesis will be in the area of research management.

I participated in the ESMU-Humane winter school for senior university administrators in 2012 as the only Norwegian participant.
